Happy Birthday DJ!

Coach DJ taught and awesome class on his Birthday and then got to share some cake with his wonderful family! I'm personally greatful to have DJ part of the Dojo 1 family and I know everyone else is too! Thanks for all you bring to the Academy, here's hoping to many more years together!




p.s. We can't wait to get those little grappling machines on the mat!

April Belt Test is a huge success!

Wow, great night! Everyone who tested were fantastic! No one was entitled a belt, they were earned! Big congrats to the testers, we are proud and you should be too! Thanks Pizza Classic, Seymour's Diner and the Phoenician Restaurant for the incredible food! Thanks to everyone who came out and helped them test and to the members and parents who came down to be part of the action! Also, very nice suprise to see Ken Kronenberg, the leader of Tai Kai walk through the door. Like I said without Ken and Tai Kai, Dojo 1 wouldn't be here! Loyalty to the end, know your roots! Thanks Dennis Sugrue, Chris Roach and Micheal Michael Mucitelli for also making the trip down! Nice to have two Black Belts and a current up and coming Bellator fighter on the mat! Thanks guys, rest up!

155 POUND CHAMP -PAUL MCLEAN!

Congrats to Paul Mclean for winning the 155 pound Title at CNY Battleground!  1st round TKO! All of Dojo 1 is proud of Paul's victory and to have him on the team! Thanks to all the members who've helped Paul train and to everyone who came out and showed your support!
